First Sacraments

First Holy Communion
Preparation for First Sacraments involves parents, church and school. The parents are expected to attend four sessions for each sacrament, in order to get a greater understanding of the implications of being a parent of a child receiving these Sacraments for each Sacrament. These sessions are an hour and a quarter long and take place in the parish hall.
The children are prepared for these Sacraments by a group of dedicated Catechists, who work with the children's parents. Preparation for these Sacraments begins in September and continues until June, with a follow-up in September.
First Reconciliation takes place the end of January, and the children receive their First Holy Communion in June.

Registration for First Confession and First Holy Communion in our parish for June 2025 is now closed.

More information on the programme will be available soon (parents meetings and preparation classes will begin in September 2024)
